For decades, Humane Society International and the Humane Society of the United States have been working together in more than 50 countries, protecting animals from cruelty and suffering.

To maximize our collective and global impact and help even more animals in need, no matter where they are, we have now brought together our family of organizations under one new name: Humane World for Animals. 

No, you need to take no action to continue helping animals around the world. The only change you will notice is that effective 14 February 2025, the name Humane World for Animals will appear on your bank statement instead of Humane Society International. Our charity registration details remain the same, and so does our address: Rue Belliard 40, 1040 Brussels, Belgium.

Above all, rest assured that the core aim and mission of our work for animals has not changed.

Bank or credit card direct debit is the ideal choice to support our work for the animals. As a matter of fact, it is:

- Simple, because once you’ve left your information, we will take care of the process and you don’t need to do anything else

- Cost-saving, because the SEPA Direct Debit initiative facilitates automated recurring payments between countries in the European Union, allowing European account holders to not being charged of any additional costs compared to those applied in their country. 

- Convenient, because recurring payments are made automatically.

That means no wasting time going to your bank or manually sending individual payments.

- Effective, because regular contributions reduce administrative costs, allowing us to allocate more resources to programs and to better plan our work for the animals.

In the event an error occur while activating your donation, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount donated.

Recurring donations can be canceled at any time by reaching out toinfoeurope@humaneworld.org

You can also cancel a direct debit by contacting your bank directly, but please share the news with us, if possible.  We always welcome feedbacks on your donation experience which allow us to improve our work for the animals and ensure that more people could join our efforts to end animal cruelty.

We would also like to remind you that if your needs have changed but are still keen on helping animals in need around the world, you can also contact us to downgrade your monthly donation, change the frequency of your donation, or pause it for a few months.

Donations may be tax-deductible depending on the laws of donor’s tax residency.  Humane World for Animals Europe is an Association without a lucrative purpose governed by the Act of June 27, 1921, based in Rue Belliard 40, 1040 Brussels, recorded at the Banque-Carrefour des Entreprises with the registration number 0562.718.279.
