Engineer and entrepreneur Caroline G. devotes her free time to animals. Motivated by the companionship of her two black Lab mixes and calico/tabby cat, it’s her mission to give back to all animals.

Reading All Animals magazine, Caroline and her husband, Erik, became Humane Leaders to further their support of the groundbreaking work of Humane World for Animals. Caroline later became involved with our North Carolina Agriculture Advisory Council and State Council.

“Most of my volunteer experience was in companion animal welfare, but more recently I’ve come to realize that dogs and cats aren’t the only animals who need our protection! Currently, I focus on farm animal issues,” she says. “While we’ve made excellent progress for the welfare of cats and dogs at this point, we have a long way to go, in terms of seeing that farm animals are treated like animals.”

Caroline admires our “incremental approach to pursuing change” and appreciates that we are inclusive of all who want to help animals—meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike—and is proud to be working with us.
