Helping pets and people through training, mentorship and animal placement

Our Animal Rescue Team works with law enforcement to investigate the worst cases of animal abuse nationwide. Every year, we rescue thousands of animals from puppy mills, animal fighting operations, disasters and other large-scale situations of cruelty and neglect.

Cockfighting is an age-old practice in which two or more specially bred birds, known as gamecocks, are placed in an enclosed pit to fight for the primary purposes of gambling and entertainment. A typical cockfight can last anywhere from several minutes to more than half an hour and usually results in the death of one or both birds.

Animal fighting continues to be a prevalent industry across the country. We have made significant progress and our work has these criminals on the defensive, but there are still many ways you can help.
